The right refractory products used to line boilers play a key role in preventing heat loss and maximizing efficiency. Installing high-quality refractory products improves boiler safety operations and extends life span.

Resco provides high-quality extreme service castable industry-standard refractories. Fully customized solutions help prevent extended downtime and equipment failure. Your Resco Boiler specialist will evaluate the processes and conditions of your boiler.

Evaluating factors including spalling, chemical corrosion, and incorrect installation for improvement. Common signs are fractured or broken refractory tiles, boiler leaks, damaged seal joints, and difficulty maneuvering refractory doors.

Boiler Castable Refractory Products

Boilers require abrasion-resistant castables with the ability to be pumped, casted, or shotcreted. R-MAX PC is the ideal castable with a 70% alumina composition.  Forinsulating castables, QuikLite 3-35PC is an excellent choice for its low installed density and low thermal conductivity.

22 CAULK is ideal for filling joints and cracks in refractory linings. Job site mixing is not needed. Just snip-off the tip of the ready-to-use caulking tube and apply the moist material using a hand or air powered caulking gun. Heat loss through joints and cracks will be reduced. Extra service life may be gained by applying a brush or spray coat of LO-SET® on any firebrick surface. Use with high duty, superduty, 50% alumina, and 60% alumina brick.
