Aluminum - Primary Production
Resco Products is a leading manufacturer for the primary aluminum industry. Primary aluminum is the production of aluminum from mined ore. Aluminum is created through Bauxite ore, which contains between 30-56% alumina with smaller amounts of iron, silicon, and titanium. The ore is refined into alumina and then sent to a primary aluminum plant for electrolytic reduction. Resco understands the importance of having the highest quality refractory possible as it can directly affect the resulting product.
Selecting Appropriate High-Temperature Refractory for Aluminum Production
Resco’s primary alumina specialist will take the time to examine your operation, your aluminum melting conditions, and your company goals to recommend the proper refractory solution. Each process is different, and sometimes that requires bringing our experienced technical and engineering team to redesign a unique solution to improve your uptime and workflow. Our team takes into consideration thermal insulation, corrosion resistance, thermal shock, etc. Selecting the right industry refractories for your furnace lining.
In addition to the primary production process of aluminum, Resco provides solutions to the secondary aluminum industry. For more information about our industry aluminum industry solutions, check out our Information Center filled with helpful articles, datasheets, calculators, and much more!
